Cycling tours of the season 2026-2027

Traveling with transfers and an escort car — from weekly trips to two-week routes across the country.

Bike tours and bike trips

A bike tour is a way to see the country at the speed of a bicycle: a group travels from point to point, every day a new section of the route and a new overnight stay, an escort car carries things. It differs from a bike camp in that kilometers here are not an end in itself, but a way to get to the next pass, coast or city. We collect cycling tours of Russian-speaking organizers: route and mileage, climb, level of training, what is included in the price and where to write for armor.

In winter and in the off—season, bike tours leave for the heat - Sri Lanka, Bali, South Africa and Western Cape. Japan and South Korea open in spring and autumn, Altai, Karelia, the Caucasus and Issyk—Kul open in summer. If you don't need a move, but a training base in one place, see catalog of bike camps and bike collections.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about cycling tours

How does a bike tour differ from a camp, how much does it cost, what kind of bike is needed and what kind of preparation.

What is a bike tour and how does it differ from a bike camp?

A bike tour is a journey by bicycle with crossings: the group starts at one point and finishes at another, every day a new overnight stay and a new section of the route. The bike camp lives on the same base, and from there they go out to train every day. In a cycling tour, the route, country and impressions are more important, in a camp - the volume and quality of training. Things on the tour usually go in an escort car, so you can pedal light.

How much does a bike tour cost in 2026-2027?

Cycling tours in Russia and the CIS — from 70 to 130 thousand rubles per week-one and a half. Asian destinations (Sri Lanka, South Korea, Japan, Bali) — 110-190 thousand rubles or 1900-2500 dollars for 10-14 days. Tours in South Africa and Africa — from 270 thousand rubles. The price almost always includes accommodation, breakfast, escort car and transfers, and air tickets, lunches and dinners and insurance are paid separately.

What kind of bike is needed for a bike tour?

Depends on the coverage. For asphalt tours, take a highway or multispeed with tires 25-35 mm and disc brakes. For mixed routes — gravel with tires 38-45 mm. Almost everywhere you need disc brakes, a wide range of gears for mountains, mounts for a flask and a luggage bag. The organizers separately ask for lanterns, a repair kit and a bicycle computer, and the bike is packed in a suitcase or box on the plane.

What kind of preparation is needed to go on a bike tour?

The average tour is 60-120 km per day with a set of 800-1500 meters, several days in a row. It is comfortable if you have already driven 100 km at a time and skated in a group. Daily mileage, recruitment and the number of rest days are indicated in the card of each tour: programs with two groups of strength and recovery days are suitable for the first trip, routes with mountain passes are suitable for those who were preparing.

What is included in the price of the bike tour?

Standard set: accommodation along the entire route, breakfast, escort car with water and snacks, transfer from the airport and transportation of a bicycle coach from start to finish, a rider, sometimes a bicycle mechanic and a photographer. Air tickets, lunches and dinners, insurance and bicycle rental are not included. Some of the organizers have a sports package without accommodation - it is cheaper, but you will have to look for housing yourself.

When is the best time to go on a bike tour?

From November to March there are warm destinations: Sri Lanka, Bali, South Africa, Southeast Asia. From April to October, Russia and the CIS opens — Altai, Karelia, the Caucasus, Issyk-Kul — as well as Japan and South Korea, where the best season is in spring and autumn. Turkey closes the off-season: they ride there from October to April.
