Start with the rules of a specific start

Open the card in calendar, then the current regulations on the organizer's website. Find the sections on admission, medical care, insurance and the issuance of starter packages. Check the year of the document and possible updates.

The inscription "for amateurs" does not define the legal status of the event and admission requirements. Do not transfer the conditions of the neighboring race or last season to your own. If a representative receives the documents, find out a separate list for him.

Medical clearance: now order No. 484n

Paragraph 35 provides for the classes and activities listed in it to use the conclusion on preventive examination or medical examination with health group I/II without additional conclusion; the term of such conclusions is one year. This is not a universal permit for any race.

For cases of item 36 related to calendar events with increased loads, a sports medicine doctor and additional examinations are provided. For persons without an established I/II group, the procedure of paragraph 37 applies. The scope of the examination depends on the situation and the program, and not on a single set of "tests + ECG for all".

In the form of appendix No. 2 there is a sport, discipline, restrictions and expiration date. The basis of admission, the doctor and the examination shall be determined in accordance with paragraphs 35-39 and appendices to the procedure.

What to say when making an appointment at the clinic

Provide the name of the race, date, discipline, distance, age and available medical documents. Send the position. Ask if the organization draws up conclusions for such participation and what survey results need to be brought.

Do not choose a service only by the name "help for sports". Specify which doctor is conducting the examination, what is included in the price and when you will get the result. Admission is issued based on the results of a medical assessment; buying a form without it does not solve the problem.

If the race website continues to refer to No. 1144n, send the organizer a question about the current requirements and the form of the document. Do not correct the old certificate yourself and do not automatically consider it suitable or invalid only by number: a specific document needs to be checked.

Check the insurance separately

Ask the organizer if the insurance is included in the slot, if there is a deadline for inclusion in the list of insured and when you will receive the policy. If you need your own policy, send the insurer the name of the discipline and a direct question: does the contract cover participation in competitions and not just the usual trips.

• Full name and date of birth are correct.
• The date and time of the action cover the start.
• Territory, discipline and competitions are included in the coverage.
• The sum insured and the risks meet the requirements of the organizer.
• Exceptions and the procedure for handling an incident are clear.

For example, on the page Cyclingrace "Moscow 2026" the inclusion of insurance depended on the time of ordering. This is an example of the differences between conditions, not a rule for all races. The MHI policy does not replace a separate sports policy, if such is required by the regulations.

Assemble the folder to issue the number

Put the documents in the order in which it will be convenient to present them. The list below should be checked with the regulations, and not presented instead:

• ID and proof of registration;
• medical document in the format accepted by the organizer;
• insurance policy, if required;
• the organizer's signed forms: application, consent, disclaimer;
• license or confirmation of the category, if this is the condition of the credit;
• for a minor — documents and consent of the legal representative according to the requirements of the start.

Specify the originals, copies and electronic format separately. The photo of the document in the phone does not always replace the original. Keep copies offline, but do not publish medical documents in public chats.

Last check before departure

Check the dates of action with the date of the race, the spelling of the name with the application, the address and the hours of delivery of packages. Check if you need to pick up the number the day before. Do not expect to get medical admission right at the start-up campus if such a service is not explicitly stated.

In case of ambiguity, ask the organizer one specific question with the name of the distance and the description of the document. For medical content, contact the organization that issued it. After that, they will remain bicycle and equipment.
