Closing the summer cycling season
On September 19, we will leave for Zelenodolsk together with the Excursion team. We'll take a beautiful route through the surroundings, cross the Volga River, look at historical sites and end the season with good company.
How are we going
Gathering — 7:30 at the fountain at the Kazan-1 railway station.
Electric train — 8:28.
Arrival in Zelenodolsk — 9:23.
A bicycle carriage will be allocated for our group. Bicycle transportation is free of charge.
The route includes the Central Park of Zelenodolsk, the Polukamushki district, the ferry crossing over the Volga, the Shchusev Chapel, the Romanovsky Bridge, the arch of the old railway bridge, the church in Russian Shirdany and the Albaba station.
If we have time, we will also visit the churches in Kosyakovo and Nurlaty.
Route — 52 km
The pace is about 15 km/h.
The surface is 85% asphalt, 15% soil.
We get back on the electric train at Albaba station at 16:51. We will be in Kazan at 18:37.
